The Rio Carnival is a spectacular and energetic festival, considered the largest event of its kind in the world. It takes place annually in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a few days before the start of Lent, transforming the city into a huge stage of music, dance and color.

At the heart of the event are the grandiose parades of the samba schools, held in the Marques de Sapucai Sambadrome. Each school presents an original theme, through elaborate choreography, dazzling costumes, exciting music and impressive allegorical floats.
In addition to the official parades, the entire city is alive with blocos, open-air street parties where locals and tourists dance together to the rhythms of samba, pagodas and Brazilian folk music. The atmosphere is cheerful, friendly and full of energy.
